Postpartum Massage & Birth Debriefing: Gentle Support for Your Body, Mind + Story
“You talk. I listen. Your body lets go.”
– Autumn
Giving birth is a threshold moment — raw, transformative, and deeply personal. Whether it was your first baby or your fourth, whether your birth was empowering, complicated, unexpected, or left you with questions… it changed you. And you deserve care that honours that.
Due to an overwhelming number of parents coming in for postpartum massages and noticing how comfortable they are to share their birth stories, in a relaxed a safe environment, while they receive body work. I am excited to now offer postpartum massage and birth debriefing sessions designed to hold space for your healing — not just physically, but emotionally and energetically, too. Whether you’re six days or six years postpartum, this work is for you.
Why Postpartum Massage Matters
Birth affects so much more than just your body. Your hormones shift, your nervous system recalibrates, your identity evolves, and your body may carry stories — of strength, of exhaustion, of joy, of trauma — that words haven’t fully captured. Postpartum massage creates space to release, restore, and reconnect with your body on your own terms. It’s not about “bouncing back.” It’s about being held with presence and care.
What’s Included in a Session?
Every session is tailored to you — your body, your story, and your needs. It may include:
Lymphatic Massage: Gentle techniques to ease swelling, support breastfeeding, and help clear medications or medical interventions from your system.
Remedial Bodywork: Targeted yet soothing touch to relieve postural tension from feeding, holding, and broken sleep — and calm an overstimulated nervous system.
Birth Story Debriefing: This is a safe, trauma-informed space where you can talk, cry, rest, or simply be. If your birth experience is still sitting heavy or if you haven’t had time to process it — we hold space for that. You talk, we listen. Your body lets go.
The Body Remembers
With over 25 years of experience as a remedial massage therapist and nearly 15 years as a birth and postpartum doula, Autumn brings a depth of understanding to this work. She knows how the body stores unspoken emotion, and how compassionate, skilled touch can help it release.
These sessions aren’t rushed. They aren’t clinical, I am not a counsellor, I am here as a listening partner for your birth experience. They are spacious, slow, and deeply attuned to where you’re at.
"It’s not just massage. It’s a moment to exhale."
It’s Never Too Soon — Or Too Late. Whether your baby is still in the newborn stage or starting school, postpartum care is still relevant. We carry our birth stories with us, often long after the physical wounds have healed. Your body may still be asking for support, and your heart may still be holding pieces of a story that needs to be witnessed.
You are welcome here — just as you are.
